In recently years, structured P2P networks is proposed to guarantee file availability and ease network and support keyword query efficiently. However, keyword-only search is insufficiently. In this thesis, how to support content-based music retrieval in a structured P2P network is discussed. Based on a modified hypercube structure, an approach named Hyper-Ternary-Cube(HTC) is proposed to support error-tolerance search efficiently, and this structure is used to support a key-invariant coding way named Melody Contour.
