Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立東華大學 === 企業管理學系 === 96 === Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) is the foundation of many health informatic applications. In the past, most research focus on the essence of the technical aspect; few scholars address the concern of user-friendly part. Nonetheless, the key to the success of PAC system lies whether PACS realistically serves its clients on the issue of practicality and convenience. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct a thorough examination of this system from different viewpoints, and so the subsequent result of our research model can evidently reflect user’s satisfaction and attitude toward the system. Most importantly, it can help academic researchers and healthcare managers make judgement upon the future upgrade of PAC system. Davis (1986) is one of the academic researchers who examine the PAC system from the user's perspective. He proposes Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) that explains and predicts each individual's level of acceptance to information technology. DeLone & McLean (1992) also propose another multi-level information technology module known as Information System Success Model (ISSM). Such system realizes the concept of practicality and efficiency. Wixom and Todd (2005) integrate both modules and prove both systems complement each other on the key element of informatic system programming. Our research study will use Wixom & Todd's integrated module, which consists of eight elements: informatics quality, system quality, information satisfaction, system satisfaction, usefulness, ease of use, attitude, and intention, as our methodology in hope to find an independent evaluation criteria for constructing a successful PAC system. Our research findings are as follow: (1).Our research module gets good support from the IT community, (2).Our hypothesis is well supported & aligned with Wixom & Todd's concept, (3).Younger users have higher satisfaction toward the use of PAC system than elder users, (4).In regards to PACS output, users' satisfaction is low (5).Most users believe PACS can aid making clinical diagnosis, (6). PAC's user-friendly concept is still from realization; more modification of this system is required.
