Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立嘉義大學 === 輔導與諮商學系研究所 === 96 === The purpose of this research was to explore the housewives’ experiences of cooking and mealtime with family members together. The research question underlying this study was “what are the cooking and mealtime experiences like for the enjoyable housewives?” Semi-structured in-depth interviews and thematic analysis were conducted to uncover the meanings of the experiences through hermeneutic phenomenological viewpoints. After interviewing six housewives who enjoy the cooking and mealtime with family members, eleven texts were analyzed by thematic analysis. Five essential themes were identified. The housewives experienced that:(a) they had changed the ways of their life-styles, and developed their relational networks; (b) they had followed the series of cooking to cleaning-up, and considered about details of preparing for mealtime step by step; (c) they were affected by negative emotions occasionally, and touched by mixed feelings in cooking processes; (d) they had maintained the family relationships by enjoying family mealtime together, and acquired their energies to stew hearty food; and (e) they had worked out with great creativities in the kitchen, and kept endurable feelings within the cooking spaces happily. Learning from the experiences of these six housewives, the researcher reflects on the effective family resource management. In the meanwhile, this research provides some suggestions for housewives, family education and related fields, and further research.
