Many studies both national and international have shown that effective leadership can motive and inspire employees' potential to the greatest extent. As a result, companies' operational performance and efficiencies as well as employees' job performance are greatly improved. The factors that affect a corporation who aims for high performance level or better leadership effectiveness, including leadership style, employees’ personality traits as well as job characteristics. Hence, this paper mainly discusses the effects of transformational leadership to leadership effectiveness. Meanwhile, the moderator of personality traits and job characteristics under transformational leadership and leadership effectiveness is also examined. This study implements questionnaire method. The samples are currently employed staffs of domestic insurance companies in the Southern region. 400 questionnaires are distributed and out of which, 333 copies are valid. The data are analyzed using independent t-statistics, correlation analysis and hierarchical regression analysis. The results are as follows: 1. There is a positive correlation between transformational leadership and employees’ satisfactory and target accomplishment level of leadership effectiveness. 2. Job characteristics have moderator effects on transformational leadership and leadership effectiveness. The results show that employees who possess higher skill variety have stronger sense on individualized consideration and inspirational motivation given by their supervisors. In turn, their satisfactory level is higher. 3. The relationship between transformational leadership and leadership effectiveness has an insignificant effect on personality traits of supervisors. This implies that personality traits is not a valid moderator in this study.
