Summary:碩士 === 國立彰化師範大學 === 商業教育學系 === 96 === The research was conducted with the purpose of examining and deter¬mining the correlation between work stress and job satisfaction among deans of students office of elementary schools. Two different methods are utilized in this study – literature search and the questionnaire method. A total of 175 questionnaires were distributed, focusing on deans of students office of public elementary schools in Changhua County as the respondent subjects. 161 valid questionnaires were obtained out of 164 questionnaires received, 3 of the questionnaires are considered invalid, resulting in the response rate of 93.71% and the valid response rate of 92%. The statistical analysis encompasses the descriptive statistical analysis, t test, one-way analysis of variance(ANOVA), Correlation Analysis, Pearson’s product-moment correlation. Key findings of the study: 1. Deans of students office of elementary schools reported medium level of work stress. Among sources of work stress, they cite workload as the top source of work stress, and office politics is the stressor that causes the least amount of work stress. 2. Deans of students office of elementary schools reported medium level of job satisfaction. Among factors that influence the job satisfaction, they are most satisfied with “social status” and are least satisfied with “salaries and fringe benefits”. 3. The work stress among deans of students office of elementary schools is significantly influenced by “highest current education level” and “tenure”. 4. “Marital status”, “highest current education level” and “tenure” have a significant impact on the job satisfaction among deans of students office of elementary schools 5. Overall, the work stress is lowly and negatively correlated with the job satisfaction among deans of students office of elementary schools, and this association was statistically significant, but to a great extent, they are either lowly or moderately and negatively correlated in every aspect. Lastly, the study attempted to provide data summaries and recommendations that could be used by school administrators, as well as a basis for future research efforts.
