Summary: | 碩士 === 國立彰化師範大學 === 工業教育與技術學系 === 96 === The purpose of this study was to explore the effects of the skill tests on students studying the Practical Skill Program in vocational high schools. The study was conducted towards Practical Skill Program students, through the implication of literature reviews and questionnaire surveys. In the sample of 1880 participants, the number of usable returned questionnaires was 1386 and the usable returned rate was 73.7%. The collected data was analyzed by the SPSS statistical techniques, including frequency distribution, proportion, means, standard deviation, t-test, one-way analysis of variance, Chi-square test, and point-biserial correlation.
Based on the statistical analysis and study results, the findings were as follows:
1. Students’ skill learning factor was under the strong influence of the skill tests, which is positive and affirmative.
2. The willingness of students to take skill tests was relatively high.
3. There were significant differences between the skill tests and the following factors---different studying grades, future plans after graduation, different part-time jobs and having licenses.
4. There were significant differences between skill tests and the school types (public or private), teachers’ encouragement to take the tests.
5. There were significant differences between students who take the skill tests of licenses (Grade C and B) and students of different studying grades who have different future plans after graduation.
6. There were significant differences between teachers’ encouragement to take the Skill Tests and students’ who take the skill tests.
7. The correlation between ‘students who take the Skill Test,’ ‘learning motivation,’ ‘learning attitude,’ ‘learning methods,’ ‘learning environment,’ ‘learning habits’ and ‘the whole level’ were at positive level. The relationship between students who take the skill tests and learning attitude was very obvious.
