Summary: | 碩士 === 國立中央大學 === 資訊管理學系碩士在職專班 === 96 === The prevalence of public instant messaging software such as MSN、Yahoo! Messenger 、Google Talk makes employees in enterprises get accustomed to regarding it as an important communication tool. And partly because of that, Enterprise Instant Messenger (EIM) software is getting more and more attention in business world in recent years.
It is no longer a question of whether permitting employees to use EIM software in business but a question of how to establish one software which can upgrade communication efficiency and reduce communication cost while keeping it safe and convenient.
By means of questionnaire and one-on-one interview, the research is focused on analyzing the staff’s using frequency and communication benefit after the company adopting EIM software. In the final part of the research, some suggestions are given to enterprises while they are evaluating or introducing EIM software.
The following four points are deduced from the results of this study:
1. The using of EIM between colleges will boost communication efficiency which is in a
positive correlation with using frequency. Furthermore, the EIM using frequency is also
in direct proportion to the use satisfaction and recognition by the staff.
2. The EIM using frequency of the respondents vary with departments in the enterprise.
3. The habits of communication will affect respondents’ willingness to use EIM software.
4. The more users understand EIM software, the higher using frequency will be.
Papers in accordance with the above findings provide enterprises some suggestions while adopting the EIM system and researchers may also take advantage of them as reference resources.
