The current sharing is applied to solve the little difference in the output voltage of each module that is causing the current big difference. Most of the topics are focused on the accuracy of the current sharing deviation and not further discussion. Based on the distributed power supply system with current sharing mechanism, this paper is to explore how to improve the power efficiency of the system. In most of the time, the system does not normally operate in full load, and distributed power system is usually designed mainly to redundant system architecture. When light loads, each power stage works at the same time that means all of them at poor efficiency. In other words, in light load, as long as to control the proper number of the power stages and upgrading the efficiency. When heavy load, let the protect power modules of the redundant power supply system work, to reduce current stress of the other working power modules. In other words, as long as to increase the amount of the proper redundant power supply modules work in heavy load, its current square multiplied by on-resistance reduce the power loss lower. In short, properly control the number of redundant power modules and cause the distributed power systems to work in high-efficiency, low-loss and increase reliability.
