Summary:碩士 === 國立臺灣體育大學(桃園) === 教練研究所 === 96 === Canoe polo Abstract Canoe polo is a fast-developing and intensely competing sport, with each team of five members taking part in a place marked in an area of still water such as a swimming pool or a lake. A contest consists of two periods, each of 10 minutes. It requires high paddling and ball playing skills and allows pushing the competitors to make them capsize, crush or climb onto their boats. In a contest, the players can often be seen chasing the ball wildly. The importance of canoe polo competition is essentials of physical strength such as the individual skills of attack and defense, team tactics, speed, power, and the player’s mental training, to name a few. The requirements for canoe polo are the distinctive abilities, skills or techniques so that the players can improve their competitive facility with the training programs. Therefore, the writer submits this technical report by accumulating more than ten years of precious experience in being part of the national team and by gathering relevant material from all possible sources during the writer’s study at the Institute of Coaching Science. This report is divided into eight parts: I. Introduction: introducing canoe polo, its origin and development, status quo of international development, status quo and prospects in Taiwan; II. canoe polo basics: equipment and materials, court and facilities, game rules, basic technical introduction; III. canoe polo skills , paddling and boat-control skills, ball playing skills, defense tactics , attack tactics; IV. strategy and application: defense strategies, attack strategies, competition and application; V. canoe polo physical strength and special training; VI. integration and redaction of training plans; VII. training and guidance on athletes’ psychology; VIII. team organization and management.
