It is normally believed that after work, workers can take a break to reproduce their labor force for the next day. However, I argue that the dormitory regime is a part of labor control from capitalist. I found that the female migrant workers are dominated by different structural forces, including capitalist control, state’s regulations on migrant workers, and market force. Facing these conditions, these female migrant workers choose a way to cope with these constraints. They are neither consent with the capitalist control, nor confront the domination. They resigned themselves to such domination. We call it 'renming', which is formed in different social contexts. Hong-zen, Wang 王宏仁 2008 學位論文 ; thesis 75 zh-TW |
