Issues including in which they described their experience with, and understanding of, runaway from home were investigated. This research invited three juvenility under the probation system in Penghu area and collected the data through narrative analysis interview. Using categorical-content analysis to integrate and discuss individually. The main findings were as below: First, the situation induced participants’ runaway from home included personal-environment interaction and their subjective experience associated with runaway episodes. Personal-environment interaction included the inner-home states and the outer-home states. The inner-home states included participants’ vulnerability to the unbearable family conditions, having limited resources to cope with family problems and suffering with poor family status. The outer-home states included participants’ relationship with the community, adaptability to schools and employment status that prevented and eroded their runaway from home. The subjective experience associated with runaway episodes contained the first-time and repeated runaway episodes recognized and participants’ emotional problems related to runaway episodes. Besides, the first-time runaway from home experience was different from the repeated one. The content of first-time runaway from home experience encompassed: Friends provided help, participants suffered from a range of emotional problems, and feedback of their family affected their will of recidivism. And endurance of poor family coping, educational detachment, and other deviant behaviors represented the impoverishment with social institutions as recidivism. However, the intervention of service providers and the more positive reflections on the relationship in which participants try to readjust interpersonal and family connection could strengthen their will of being at home. Additionally, cautions were given upon reflections on their conduct. Finally, based on the research findings above, the discussion was presented in attempt to make suggestions to parents, service providers and future research.
