Summary: | 碩士 === 國立暨南國際大學 === 輔導與諮商研究所 === 96 === The purpose of this study is to explore the life experience of middle-aged (age 40-60) divorced women, which contain viewpoints of their divorced-related events, reasons for divorce and life adjustment after divorce.
The qualitatice depth-interview was used to collect text. Participants are giving an hour’s interview to collect data. The results are as follows:
1. The middle-aged divorced women recognized divorce as three parts: considering the reality, self regression, and struggling for social stereotype.
2. The factors which influence the marriage decisions of middle-aged women are as four parts: lacking of consideration about marriage, the persist marriage problems, hope to keep home completed, and taking responsibility off and making the decision of divorce.
3. The factors of life adjustment after divorced are as follows: being role freely as a single, ignoring the negative effects of single parenting to children, having the stability of income and social resources.
Finally, suggestions on middle-aged divorced women, counselors and future research are discussed.
