Summary: | 碩士 === 國立暨南國際大學 === 輔導與諮商研究所 === 96 === This dissertation is mainly focused on the research of how married female consultants made career commitment, including the investigation of why they entered into the consulting area; the dilemma they encountered between family and work; how they made choice and adjustment to stay in the same area; and after breeding & raising period how they pursued self-actualization and combined with their job to make career commitment.
This research used the qualitative depth interview method to collect information and totally interviewed 4 married female consultants. Analyses were made according to above information collected. The results were found and summarized as follows:
1. There are two factors that married female consultants entered into consulting area which were read as accidental coincidence and the influence from important others.
2. Married female consultants conquered obstacles of family and marriage in their life, which were divided into three categories to analyze, i.e.: female consultants’ status before marriage, female consultants’ myth and adaptation after marriage, female consultants’ self development and breakthrough of career after breeding and raising period.
3. The meaning of career commitment of married female consultants contains the relationship between family and consultation, and the pattern of commitment.
Finally, researcher based on the above finding results to discuss and offer some valuable suggestions to married female consultants, social workers/social organizations in the related area, future researchers as well as to the governmental institutions which stipulate the related consulting policy for their references.
