Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立暨南國際大學 === 電機工程學系 === 96 === In the recent years, wireless networks are widely deployed and play a significant role in our daily life. Nowadays users can purchase new IEEE 802.11n products in the market. The data rate is up to 300 Mbps and can meet the requirement of majority users. Then users expect that networks can be extended to cover all equipments in addition to computers. Therefore, the concept of “ubiquitous” networks is proposed. Different to the requirement of high speed network, ubiquitous networks focus on low-speed, low-power, and low cost and a new standard IEEE 802.15.4 is defined to meet the new requirement. Zigbee alliance is a organization to promote the low rate wireless networks. It defines the network and application layers on top of IEEE 802.15.4 PHY and MAC such that all system manufacture can follow. There are already some Zigbee general-purpose experiment platforms in the market, but they don’t support to remote control. So we designed a ZigBee network with Web server in an ARM-based embedded system. Users on the Internet can remotely monitor and control the ZigBee network.
