In this thesis, we develop an affective image layout generation system. We consider two main critical composition elements, namely, geometrical shapes and color hues, for background images. Aesthetic background images with a user-selected affective state can be first automatically composed by first assigning the shapes of the lines that decompose the image into numerous blocks. Appropriate color combinations are then applied to transform the colors the blocks to render images with the desired affection state.
