Users shoot it by camera-enabled mobile computing device then extract the hidden information. In order to resist the print-and-photo attack, suitable position detection pattern is put on the surroundings of the 2D image code. To improve the visual quality of the 2D image code, a perceptual shaping algorithm is proposed that takes advantage of the Watson’s DCT-based perceptual model. Finally, we implement a web service to generate the 2D image code for the public and a Java-based 2D image code decoder on mobile phones.
