The competitive advantage for firms is competing in the global marketplace and for expatriates is developing their careers; international assignments constitute an important set of work experiences This research revealed the factors that has an effect on the career outcomes of expatriates in Taiwan. This research examined the relationship between stressor and support on adjustment and then the relationship between this three dimension and career outcomes of expatriates in Taiwan individually. A survey has been conducted to collect data on participant’s perceptions of stressors, support, adjustment and career outcome. The data has been analyzed using structural equation model, canonical correlation analysis and analysis of variance (t-Test and ANOVA). Similarly to previous studies was found that stressors, including language, culture novelty and promotions, and support, including organizational support and social support have an impact on expatriates adjustment. Besides, stressors, including language, culture novelty and promotions, and support, including organizational support and social support have a significant impact on career outcomes of expatriates.Finally, the three facets of adjustment also have and impact on career outcomes of expatriates. The findings can help organizations and expatriates assess the likelihood that know about the factors that affect the career outcomes of expatriates is successful or increase the performance in the organization and career outcomes for expatriates.
