Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立成功大學 === 國際企業研究所碩博士班 === 96 === Previous work on supply chain management has paid emphasis on what factors improve supply chain performance. In this study, we develop a set of hypotheses concerning the relationships among social capital, relationship quality, meaning trust, commitment and stability, and supply chain performance. Besides, we also test mediating effect of relationship quality. After collecting multi-sources data from 107 manufacture companies, we use structural equation modeling (SEM) to investigate research hypotheses. Our findings show that there are positive relationships between social capital and relationship quality-trust, commitment, stability, separately. Secondly, there are positive relationships between relationship quality-trust, commitment, stability, separately and supply chain performance. Thirdly, relationship quality fully mediates the relationship between social capital and supply chain performance. The most important contribution of this research is to find out relationship quality as mediator between social capital and supply chain performance, and demonstrate that the fully mediating effect does exist, which haven’t been found out in previous studies. Furthermore, we investigate the variable “stability” deeply, which is seldom discussed in past research but is important in relationship quality field. Both findings may contribute to relevant academic research fields and practical implementation.
