It takes every effort from each divisions and processes to ensure proper and efficient operations in order to keep up with the strong market competition. In recent years, the soaring fuel prices are giving all the airliners a big struggle to survive. All kinds of efforts were done to try to save fuel as much as possible. Besides cutting cost by saving fuel, this thesis tries to aim at the airlines operation control on preferred route, altitude and overall flight plan to result in some key solution on fuel consumption in each mission. Therefore decisions can be made on the effort of fuel conservation and flight operation cost. This thesis adopts CAL A-340 in European flights to verify and discuss the proposed view points.
