Summary:碩士 === 國立成功大學 === 建築學系專班 === 96 === The primary purpose of fire protection in the building code is to stop the fire spreads between two houses. The manners are: 1. To build with fire-resistive structure, 2. To set fire-separation distance. The chapters regarding on fire protection issues were widely revised in the National Building Code during 2004. The intensively modified terms are those about fire-separation distance in Chapter IV. The intention of modification is to keep the safety of occupants and properties from fire spread. By the statics from the Construction and Planning Agency of Ministry of The interior indicates most of conflagration started from dwelling houses. Furthermore, the fire starting from bed rooms sets on the 1st place and kitchens on the 2nd. The low-rise buildings are applied for habitation commonly in the southern area of the country. However, the occupants always block the evacuation routes by the illegal interior construction of the houses. The illegal behavior on construction threats residents’life of the city. Therefore, the study collects the document of legislation process on fire-separation distance and screen the multiple attached housing located at Municipal Administration District of Chiayi with occupancy permit after the code revised in 2004 to analyze and investigate the status of maintenance on the fire protection. The conclusion may be adapted for authority’s reference in order to protect the public interest.
