Summary: | 碩士 === 國立成功大學 === 建築學系碩博士班 === 96 === Due to the rapid extension of urbanization, the micro-climate of cities in Taiwan has grown worse lately. Ventilation plays an important part in ease off this problem. In recent years, Computational Fluid Dynamic (CFD) is becoming widely used in evaluating building and urban wind environment. This study discusses about the influence of different factors on urban wind environment. Also, it creates an evaluation system of community wind environment with the help of CFD simulations. It is hope to build up the empirical models of different building types for designers to better their design decisions in the planning and design stage. Key results obtained are as follows.
1. The survey of summer wind environment in Taiwan
This research collects the data of average velocity per hour and wind direction from 13 main metropolis weather stations within latest 5 years of Taiwan. Average velocity in summer is about 2.2m/s. However the main wind direction is uniform.
2. Computational Fluid Dynamic (CFD) simulation
The CFD simulation software is used to create the numerical models with different building types. Several factors such as site plan layout, building size and local wind data are combined as wind environment database which can be a help for designers to predict the ventilation performance of community with ease.
3. Evalution system of community wind environment
A user-friendly evaluation system of Community Wind Environment is created in this study. It can be used to provide opportunities for designers to review their design decisions in the initial phases of planning and design.
