In February 2003, the European Union (EU) completed the legislation of “Waste Electronics and Electrical Equipment”. Before long, the EU legislated the code of “Restriction of the Use of Certain Hazardous Substance in Electrical and Electronic Equipment,” The enforcement of these two laws makes electronic businesses transform from quality oriented product specifications to the inclusion of new environmental oriented demands of product specifications. With domestic backlight module manufacturers as the study subjects, the goal of this study is to submit an appraisal structure of the management of the green supply chain through gathering and researching of the related literature and analyze the interaction between the green supply chain and operation performance under the present quality management actions of domestic backlight module manufacturers using questionnaire analysis. The study sent 326 copies of questionnaire, return 116 effective copies with an effective return rate 35.58%. After the question sheets were recalled, they were analyzed to prove whether the research hypothses are true or false through inductive statistics and regression analysis methods by using SPSS. The study shows: 1. Quality management actions have obvious positive effects on the management of the green supply chain. Among those actions, “ISO 9000 Quality Management System” has the greatest influence which means the business has built a control procedure of management by standardizing design, it can ensure products and services to satisfy customer needs and enable management of green supply chain effectively. 2. The management of green supply chain has remarkable positive effects on operation performance. This finding can eradicate the doubts about the cost increasing on implementing the management of green supply chain. The result shows the company can can advance the financial performance by recycling to reduce cutting material costs through actual green improvement activities. 3. Quality management activitions have obvious positive effects on operation performance. Among those actions, “ISO 9000 Quality Management System” and “Total Quality Management” have obvious positive influence on operation performance because the former constructs a foundation for all company activities and the latter reinforce manpower utilization and operation efficiency in the organization under the structure of “ISO 9000 Quality Management System”. Therefore it leads to an overall better operation business performance. Key words: quality management, green supply chain, business performances
