Summary:碩士 === 美和技術學院 === 健康照護研究所 === 96 ===   Since the medical technology and life standard have advanced, the average life expectancy in ROC was extended; furthermore, because the birthrate dropped off to new lowest point and the population of senior citizens soared swiftly, the aging of the population lifted constantly that made the request of long-term care for old men and women grown quickly; besides, and due to the changing of family structure and more women involving in labor markets that damped down the function of family care, the needs for home care service has been increasing. It has been one or two decades since the home care service is pursued in Pingtung County, but no one knows how the effects are. There is no relevant research report either, so the author expects to explore the administration, management, effects and satisfaction of home care service in Pingtung County in terms of principles of new managementlism in this study.   The study combines qualitative and quantitative research methods, including questionnaire and deep interview method. The former has imposed upon 375 senior citizens from 1051 who capitalized on care service from any medical or caring organization, but eventually only got 252 effective respondents. The latter was imposed purposely on 8 subjects, including the relevant administrators and underwriter in county government, long-term care and managing center in Pingtung county as well as other caring organizations, and those senior citizens who capitalized on such kind of services. After collected, sorted out and analyzed the data, the author found are as follows:   1. The interviewees were quite weak and disadvantage in many aspects of physiology and personal relationships. 2. As to the satisfaction with the service, though the average score of meal-delivery service was higher than others, the frequency of accompanying and chores services were highest. 3. In general, the overall services of each care organization were satisfied by the interviewees, but it still left much to be desired. 4. There were seldom documentary services applied, the service training for the administrative member might be intensified. 5. The degree of satisfaction for the service of each organization was significantly different among the interviewees. 6. Home care service made the users feel warmly and offered family style care and affectionate support. 7. Among the expectations of such kind of services, changing caretakers has been in the lead, and the duration as well as contents of the service followed on.   Based on conclusions and findings, the study would also present 13 suggestions in terms of government policy and organizational services, so as to give reference for Pingtung County to develop home care service in the future.
