Summary:碩士 === 銘傳大學 === 公共事務學系碩士班 === 96 === The purpose of research is to explore how the foreign spouse’s children adapt to school life, using the elementary school in Taipei city in example. The case study is based on qualitative method to interview eleven teachers and eighteen foreign spouse’s children, auxiliary analyzed documents are attached. In order to obtain the useful information, I researched the family background and the real school life of foreign spouse’s children with different view points including learning, interpersonal skill, psychology adaptation and following rules. Moreover teacher’s view points and attitude are also considered. The conclusion is as follows: 1. Caring and education from the parents and other relatives will affect school life adaptation of foreign spouse’s children. 2. The foreign spouses do not have disregard for the education of children even they are not good in Chinese language. 3. The foreign spouse’s children make no differences when learning Chinese, but they don’t have the advantage of foreign language and the multicultural character. 4. The foreign spouse’s children make no differences about life adaptation comparing with general children. 5.The foreign spouse’s children are passive when communicating with teachers. 6. The foreign spouse’s children can get along with classmates well without obvious racial discrimination. 7. The foreign spouse’s children can adapt life well, and they aren’t influenced by mother’s status. 8. The foreign spouse’s status is not the main reason for the teachers to affect their education attitude. 9. The foreign spouses have good relationship in communication with the teachers. 10. The school life adaptation of foreign spouse’s children is not worse than general children.
