In this area of research, designers are the creator of the graphs, and clients are the viewer of imagery which produced by designers. If the presentations of the graphs are appropriate, it could be effectively communicate before the stage of mass production; therefore, it is important to present graph the most efficient way during the communication of design. This thesis is trying to discover the key elements of design graphs by designers. By analyzing the interaction between designers and clients, we try to find the best medium and model of communication. So that, there are 5 techniques including “Market present situation investigation”, “Designers drawing graphs”, “Experts discussion”, “Similarity and by chance experiment”, “Half structural formula discussion”. The dependent variables are the 3 kinds of sketches, and the independent variables are the volume of similarity and preference. According to the results of interviews, we find that: First, sketches are the most convenient. Second, computer cartography is most realizable but need more time to complete. Third, photo showing depends on the differences f company culture. And we adapt the Likert scale as an experimental tool to analyze the volume of cognition of workers in marketing and purchase field when clients are trying to understand the idea of design. The results of experiments showed that a higher difference that computer cartography is more similar with the real product compared with sketches and photo showing. By the evaluation of similarity, there is an obvious difference between computer cartography and sketches or photo showing. By the evaluation of preference, there is an obvious difference between computer cartography and sketches or photo showing. After the experiment we conducted the semi-structured interviews. According to the results of previous research, we find that it is the appropriate way for designers to present the product graphs by computer cartography although it needs most time. Clients also think it is most similar with the real product so that the volume of Preference is highest. But in sketches plan stage, the thorough understanding computer cartography is most time-consuming. We hope that this research can promote the designer and the customer in the design communication. As well as the conclusion of this thesis can be a framework for designers in the field and improve the quality of communication between designers and clients when they choose an appropriate way to present a product.
