The three textbooks were compared on the basis of Standard of question-making for Japanese Language Proficiency Test(2nd ED.) for level 3 and level 4 sentence patterns and the percentage of adequate content was calculated. The examination results illustrated that the percentage of covered level 4 content in each textbook were: 94% in『新実用』, 97% in『みんな』, and 93% in 『新文化』. The percentage of covered level 3 content were: 74% in『新実用』’67% in 『みんな』, and 74% in 『新文化』. Consequently, the results showed that there were not enough sentence patterns for level 3 and level 4 in these textbooks. Therefore, the result of this paper could be used as information to edit textbooks that will cover 100% of sentence patterns for level 3 and level 4 in the future.
