碩士 === 銘傳大學 === 傳播管理研究所碩士班 === 96 === In this thesis issued in Chinese editions of the women’s magazines, are selected as the focus of this case study, that is, ELLE, Cosmopolitan. Use content analysis to know the representation of women’s image in women magazines in Taiwan and China. Along with the progress of social and economic reform, the women’s magazine will account for different type and content. So in this thesis want further to find Chinese edition present different between Taiwan and China.. Use sample in October, 2006 to September, 2007 altogether 48 magazines. Reported the article sample altogether has 736 pieces, the picture sample altogether has 8,157 pieces. After material analysis, finally find women image are approximately same in Taiwan and China. Women personality all is maintains independence and keeps initiative with the self-confident special characteristic. The Taiwan female accepts in the sextual affection high, but the mainland is the feminine specialization is higher than others. As to Female role in Taiwan highest is friends and lover, but China is famous people highest. In The nudity aspect, Taiwan accepts to be higher than China. This result are conforms to Michelle R. (2005) argument, he believe China politics economy not comprehensive free opening, so people regarding nudity accepts low.
