With the efforts of ASEAN members and other countries like Japan, China and Korea, the integration of Asian regional economy is growing mature and achieving the consensus. There are four purposes of this research; firstly, to analysis how ASEAN members changed their position in policies and economic after financial crisis. Secondly, to investigate how the ASEN deal with the developmental difference among internal members and the possibility of establish Asian currency system. Thirdly, to analyzed East Asia regionalism by examining interaction between ASEAN and superpower. Finally, to make suggestions for Taiwan so as to avoid being Taiwan marginalized in the regional economic integration. What evolve from the above are extent three key issues? (1) What are trends and implications of proliferated those bilateral and plural FTAs in Asia-pacific region? (2)Will China or ASEAN serve as the hub of the regional integration? (3) Under the influence of the superpower, how ASEAN members secure their own interest?
The results of this present research are as follows :( a) the influence of finical crisis drives East Asia countries into close cooperation and also strengths the members’ communication network. In the meanwhile, to establish the exchange rate system and consolidate interdependence can avoid finial crisis resurface again. (b) The PRC has giving up to be the policy hegemonic and supports ASEAN. However, PRC and Japan have kept competing to each other for the leading position of regional economy. On the other hand, the profile of U.S.A. in Asia is helping ASEAN assert their own sovereignty and also confirm their own importance of East Asia region (c) The open regionalism plays an important role in building up East Asian Community (EAC) and Free Trade Area of Asia-Pacific (FTAAP). (d) Under the interaction of Globalization and Regionalization, it will stimulate the development of FTA in the economic bloc. Taiwan government should value the Asian integration as an important process and assess how it would influence Taiwan. Besides, it’s better to take effective strategy to reduce negative impacts upon Taiwan.
