As newly immigrant women come to a strange environment, they lose the support of their original society. Meanwhile, they also lose the social regulations and values established by their previous society. Facing the new environment, lacking original family's support, lacking their relatives' and friends' comfort, and losing the support of the social system, they must confront the difference between the new society and their original society. Hence, many problems of adaptation to life occur. This study takes the elementary school children's female parents in Chang-Hua County as the research target. In this study, we collect and analyze the data, and find the following conclusions: First, our country's women and newly immigrant women do not have obvious difference in the involvement in community activities and the sense of community. Second, our country's women and newly immigrant women have a lot of difference in social support and its specific aspects—affection support, instrument support and financial support. Additionally, our country's women gain more support than the newly immigrant women. Third, our country's women and newly immigrant women do not have apparent difference in the adaptation to life. But our country's women and newly immigrant women have a great deal of difference in the specific aspects of life adaptation— adaptation to personal life and adaptation to social life. Besides, our country's women are better than newly immigrant women in adaptation to personal life and adaptation to social life. However, our country's women and newly immigrant women do not have obvious difference in adaptation to family life. Fourth, our country's women participation in community activities has a strong connection with the adaptation to life.but newly immigrant women participation in community activities has not a strong connection with the adaptation to life Fifth, our country's women and newly immigrant women in sense of community has has a strong connection with the adaptation to life.
