Summary: | 碩士 === 立德大學 === 地區發展管理研究所 === 96 === The main purpose of the study was to explore learning attitudes and school performance of neo Taiwanese and to compare those with Native Taiwaneses of the elementary school students, then to give teachers and related administrator some suggestions.
This research was taken random sampling of 175 elementary schools in Chung-Hua County students in different 50 schools whose mother came from foreign countries. We also choose non- neo Taiwaneses stuents as a comparative group. The subjects were evaluated by Questionnaire of Learning Attitude Scale and school performance for the lementary school students. The data were analyzed by SPSS for Windows 12.0. A total of 1421 usable responses were obtained for independent sample t-test, one- way ANOVA, Pearson product-moment correlation, and multiple
regression analysis.
The result of this study indicated that:
1. Students form Taiwan is better than those from mainland China,Indonesia on learning emotion. Students whose mother get junior, senior, and college education are better than those who get elementary education on learning emotion. Girls get better performance than boys
on learning attitude.
2. The higher the learning attitude, the better Chinese grades the students get, especially on neo Taiwanese students.
3. The better the learning cognitive of learning attitude, the higher school performance, especially in the first and third grade students. The better the learning emotion of learning attitude, the higher school performance, especially in the fifth grade students.
Suggestion for the school and future research were also proposed in this study based on the study.
