They want to create more revenue and benefit through sharing information and risk. This study focuses on asset specificity and partnership in the heavy electric machinery industry. The purposes of this research are (1)discussing how the asset specificity and partnership of suppliers can be utilized to effectively initiate supply chain performance；(2)evaluating the tangible asset specificity and intangible asset specificity of suppliers and their effectiveness on firms’ partnership establishment；(3)evaluating the supply uncertainty and intangible uncertainty of suppliers and their effectiveness on firms’ partnership establishment ；(4) discussing the whether or not there are differences in supply chain performance after firms’ partnership.
The findings of the research are (1) indicating the tangible asset specificity can not effectively initiate supp ly chain performance；(2)meaning the intangible asset specificity can effectively initiate supply chain performance；(3)representing to the lower do supply uncertainty and demand uncertainty of suppliers be, the higher does their supply chain performance be. (4)Asset specificity has positively influence on firms’ partnership establishment. (5)The results of study are showing the higher do supply uncertainty and demand uncertainty of suppliers be, the lower does firms’ partnership establishment be. (6)Firms’ partnership has positively influence on the supply chain performance.
