Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立高雄應用科技大學 === 模具工程系碩士班 === 96 === This paper utilized carbon dioxide, air flow and heat produced from Direct Methanol Fuel Cell (DMFC) as the source to attract mosquito. The purpose of this study is to design a component of mosquito trap system for reducing the attack from mosquito. First the characteristic, habit of the mosquito is analyzed as the reference basis for the system design. Second, the thesis performed the structural design of mosquito trap system such as: design a globe of three-dimensional space, choose fuel cell stacks were test, design second battery charging circuit, cell peripheral devices, energy management system, and fuel cartridge. To achieve a steady operation state, DMFC needs good performance. The performance of DMFC was tested by changing different parameter such as: methanol concentration, temperature, flow rate, cathode feeding and long term operation. Simultaneously, the quantities of carbon dioxide were determined to analyze the operation safety. It is confirmed that no risk for human body in a close room exists after system operated for eight hours. Moreover, the system has already finished practical experiment and then performs the characteristic analysis of operation. Finally, the thesis aims to propose DMFC powered mosquito trap system and to improve its function by future further research.
