The understanding of the learning satisfaction degree of students could be the reference to adjust the education policy and be an important index to enhance education quality. This research first analyzed the background and state of play of the case school in the literature review, studied previous research on related theories on learning satisfaction degree and analyzed the factors and their relations.
This research was to study the learning satisfaction on vocational exploration and guidance in course of Kaohsiung Municipal Hospitality Junior High School students by using the investigation on the effects and aspects of students’learning satisfaction and the survey on learning satisfaction. The objective was to use the research results to provide the suggestions on the revision and related coaching activities of vocational exploration and guidance in course of Kaohsiung Municipal Hospitality Junior High School. To achieve the objective, this research began with the collection, induction, and analysis of the reference documents, which were the basis of the theoretical fundamentals and contents of the questionnaire. The questionnaire of learning satisfaction on vocational exploration and guidance in course of junior high school students was compiled based upon the total summation method raised by Likert. Then, the field survey was conducted, and the data were collected and analyzed for learning satisfaction.
The population of this research was the students who were studying in Kaohsiung Municipal Hospitality Junior High School in Kaohsiung City and joined the vocational exploration and guidance course. The total sampling size was 308, and the effective questionnaires were 280. The successful rate was 90.91%. The results of the survey were used for data analysis. The statistic methods includes percentage, mean value, frequency distribution, t-test, Pearson’s product- moment correlation, one factor variance analysis for post hoc comparison.
According to the results of this study, the conclusions were summarized as follows.
1. All the students are satisfied with the course arrangement, learning environment, teaching quality, personal relationship, career planning, and overall performance. The average score of satisfaction in each aspect of the male students is higher than that of the female students.
2. The learning satisfaction of students from higher socio-economic family backgrounds is higher than the those from intermediate and lower ones in overall performance, course arrangement, teaching quality, learning environment, personal relationship, and career planning.
3. The students with grade A are highly satisfied with the learning environment and personal relationship and teaching quality, and the students with grade C are highly satisfied with the course arrangement. The students with grade E are highly satisfied with career planning.
4. In every aspect of learning satisfaction, significant correlation is shown for those who take the vocational exploration and guidance course.
