Wire Electrical Discharge Machining(WEDM) is mainly used in machinery, molds, and other important areas of equipment, but equipment maintenance has been a high burden to the general education institutions. Therefore, this paper adopted Visual Basic(VB) programming language and virtual reality software core systems in building a virtual machine with machine CAD files provided my industrial machine builder. Development of a Virtual Reality WEDM system to replace the expensive machine and equipment to assist teaching, including the operation of controller, simulation of controller, NC program processing operation of teaching and training systems, and the users can detect errors to prevent the collision before real operation. Finally, this research sincerely hopes the users can improve the processing of WEDM of understanding and to enhance the actual operation of related technology through this development.
