ABSTRACT Within the automotive industry today, companies save significant amounts of money through computer simulations. Mathematics through numerical methods becomes important when as in this case the investigation is done with the Finite Element Method (FEM). In recent years, FEA (Finite Element Analysis) has become very popular for effective development of many industrial products. In the development of automobile, FEA has been applied to design and analyze new models which need to detect designed problems earlier in the development cycle as well as reducing cost and saving time. The main purpose in this thesis is to analyze the deformation of two kind of welded joints of car-frame when the structure are subjected to prescribed deformation on one end to compare the stress and deformation of two kind of welding. The results are analyzed to minimizing the faults in design and manufacturing process. This paper describes the simulations of car-frame deformation and performed with FEA method Keyword: Vehicle dynamics, finite element method, car-frame structure, vehicle structure analysis.
