However, such a system is totally new in Taiwan, so far only National Palace Museum uses the GTS for tour guide. In this essay, we will focus the ability and efficiency of the GTS system, and observe the benefits and defects on using the GTS system. Furthermore, this research will divide into two aspects: interview and survey. As a result from the information we have received from tourists and tour guides, there are some conclusions from this research: 1. Effectiveness on noise reduction The decreasing of conversation between tour guide and tourist is a practical example of noise reduction. Although the system cannot complete quarantine all the external voices, but it concentrates tourists listening on commentate has been recognized. 2. Effectiveness on commentate improvement The system makes guides’ commentate more accurate than spoke on live volume. Moreover, the earphone increases the convenience and flexibility on group management while touring. Less unfortunate, there are some disadvantages occur when operating the GTS system, such as less interaction between guide and tourists, limited body performance during commentate and it cannot solve the issue of crowded inside the museum. 3. System Operation and Relate Issues Even though the system is convenient for the tour, however, there are some accidental problems exist, for example, run out of batteries or the channel of the system has been changed individually. Another related issue is the models of the GTS are all identical, which creates a difficulty to suit for everyone. Moreover, sending and receiving voice has a possibility of delaying or interference by external factors. On the other side, lacks of staffs at audio counter for GTS can cause delay and work inefficiency on renting or returning to visitors. Therefore, the museum sizes and budgets should be consider first if there is any company who wants to adopt the GTS system in the future. 文祖湘 2008 學位論文 ; thesis 160 zh-TW
