Summary: | 碩士 === 高雄醫學大學 === 護理學研究所 === 96 === The purpose of this research is to explore the livedexperience of Mainland Chinese female spouses in Taiwan. Thisstudy was conducted by qualitative research using thephenomenological method.
A total of twenty-two Mainland Chinese spousesparticipated in the study. Data was collected by in-depthinterviews. All are documented in the form of process recording.The content of the interviews was analyzed and categorizedbased on Colaizzi,s content analysis.
The result shows that the lived experience of mainland Chinesefemale spouses in Taiwan can be classified based on nine causes: (1)solving the plight in China by marriage, (2) reality with dreambroken after marriage, (3) feeling distressed entered the work, (4)sank into discrimination suffered, (5) self-esteem and social rank wasbelittled, (6) conflicts in marriage relationship, (7) feeling helpless butresigned, (8) isolation in interactions with others, (9) oppression andunfair treatment in policy.
The result of this research shows the lived experience of Mainland Chinese female spouses in Taiwan. Understanding these experiences will help them to adapt in Taiwan. This discovery could provide a reference for psychiatric mental health nursing staff and about female immigrants’ marriage issues in Taiwan.
