Summary:碩士 === 義守大學 === 管理研究所碩士班 === 96 === The purpose of study examined the relationship between physician-patient communication and physician-patient relationship by internal healthy locus of control (IHLC) and whether the extraversion of personality traits will have or not a moderating effect between IHLC and physician-patient communication. The personality traits of patient will influence physician-patient communication and physician-patient relationship, example the extraversion make the communication between patient and doctor more smoothly, the IHLC is higher, can actively look for healthy information to keep healthy (Burgess & Hambleett, 1994). People express them self, understand other people by the communication to growth promoting each other. In the medical treatment of the service, doctor and patient are facing disease, the role "communication" which plays to activate of process. So, the level patient involvement in physician-patient communication will also influence the process of physician-patient relationship. The sample size of the survey is 314 individuals with 269 responses are eligible. The results of the study demonstrates that: 1. IHLC have a positive effect on physician-patient communication, 2. IHLC have a positive effect on physician-patient relationship, 3. physician-patient communication have a positive effect on physician-patient relationship, 4. physician-patient communication as an intervening variable, partially mediates the relationship between the IHLC and physician-patient relationship, 5. extraversion in the relationship between patient decision of physician-patient communication and IHLC have a moderating effect.
