The empirical countries are EU enlarged countries, including Bulgaria, Czech, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Slovakia and Slovenia. A dynamic panel data model with fixed effect will be constructed to analyze bilateral trade factors between Taiwan and EU enlarged countries, for the period of 1995 to 2006. The determinants have nine variables which include the ratio of current account to GDP, inflation rate, the ratio of government debt to GDP, exchange rate, foreign direct investment inflows, GDP per capita, openness, unemployment rate and real wage. Our main findings as follows. First, we find that the ratio of current account to GDP, foreign direct investment inflows and openness factors in EU enlarged countries have influences on our gross import value. Second, foreign direct investment inflows, GDP per capita, openness, unemployment rate and real wage factors in EU enlarged countries have influences on our gross export value. Third, the ratio of current account to GDP, foreign direct investment inflows, GDP per capita, openness and unemployment rate factors in EU enlarged countries have influences on our total volume of trade.
