In this thesis, we will apply the clustering method and the Electromagnetism-like Mechanism for the real market to exercise the best functions based on the lowest cost, good efficiency, greatest profit, best services and make a “transporting the optimization on the cost “.In recent years, a newly developed heuristic of electromagnetisms performing algorithm, the Electromagnetism-like Mechanism (EM), is used to solve the optimization problem (Birbil and Fang, 2003). Later, it was applied to solve the traveling salesman problem (TSP) (Wu and Chiang, 2005). It can converge very fast and accurately to the optimum. First, it utilizes the attraction-repulsion mechanism of an electromagnetism. Then, it calculates the total force, moves along the total force, and finds out the law of the best route to the optima area.The purpose of this study is to shorten the delivery distance in order to reduce the cost for the express delivery company. However, it is not easy to get the best solution by using the traveling salesman problem (TSP). Therefore, we apply the Electromagnetism-like Mechanism (EM) to simulate the best results for this request.
