Description
Summary:碩士 === 華梵大學 === 資訊管理學系碩士班 === 96 === Recent year studies showed that information technology has become a primary role in organization transformation and development. It is also known that information technology strategy must adapt with business strategies in order to improve business performance. There are a few adapting models. Among which the "strategies alignment model", proposed by Herderson and Venkatraman, is the most recognized and accepted one. Although task performance is a key to success for business, in research papers we couldn’t find evidence showing the statistical relationship between the IT performance and the different strategic adjust methods. In this paper, we discuss the relationship between strategies alignment model and business performance. A few case studies will also be discussed to see the differences by applying different alignment model to IT department. Meanwhile, we also try to find those factors that influence the performance between different business type and different IT department. Our statistical data shows that the 4 strategies alignment methods from the strategies alignment model may have different effect to the performance of the IT department. This research also shows that business characteristics and IT department features can be interference factors between the two factors, IT performance and strategies alignment model.
