This stands as a unique interpretation of the Tibetan Buddhism. And especially to combine with the issue of clinical paths as terminal care in modern medical therapy is the primary concern in this thesis. The thesis aims to describe how to achieve self-liberation in the samsara, particularly concerning the dying self-liberation by focusing on the Terma of Nyingma School by the Tibetan Buddhism founder, Guru Rinpoche – Padmasambhava – Naturally Liberated Vision, the teachings on the Peaceful and Wrathful Deities,(Zhi khro dgongs pa rang grol), short for “the self-liberation guide through the six bardos”, and to instill a dying liberation facilitating model by following the guidance to form a clinical path attainment method. As asserted by the general Buddhism concepts, Buddhahood exists in all sentient beings. It is the ignorance of one’s thought that disrupts the mind of duality and of perseverance to canon in one’s cognitive awareness to prevent an individual from achieving the true state of emptiness of existence, but being entrapped in the five aggregates of the samsara. While one that emphasizes self-liberation has been the Atiyoga tantra, all-encompassing dzogchen – the Great Perfection of the Nyingma tradition of Tibetan Buddhism, which asserts that all presentations are enlightened and manifested through Buddhahood or intrinsic awareness, and an individual is able to achieve self-liberation through instantaneous enlightenment of Buddhahood by upholding an unyielding, righteous mind. Based on the thesis’s study, to present a clinical path as a fundamental dying care model or principle, it calls for instilling an individual at dying stage to achieve the moral purity of deed, word and thought, which would help the individual grapple the teaching of phowa, and in turn attain a clear and tangible realization of self-liberation. Keywords: Tibetan Buddhism, Bardo, Tathagatagarbha, self-liberation, Guru Yoga , phowa 王惠雯 王惠雯 王惠雯 2008 學位論文 ; thesis 155 zh-TW
