To achieve an adequate or optimal operational management, organizations have to make best use of knowledge to create value, that’s where the information technologies come in to play.
In order to become a pioneer in their industry, organizations all put their efforts on improvement researches and creative activities; they will also introduce the information technologies, setup reliable information system and service to better support their organizational activities. In this sense, a better managed computer center with robust back end services and supports will be very essential.
Computer center management is an important but tedious work that is sometimes easily been overlooked by the management level, no mater it is handled in house or outsourced. And that’s why to build up an expert system knowledge base for computer center management to better manage the knowledge, will not only rationalize the operational procedure but also alleviate the staffs on duty from tedious daily routine works, to handle abnormal situations and further to help administrative staffs to keep abreast of the good status of the computer center in order to improve its efficiency so that it can work as the best supporting force during competition.
To achieve the goal mentioned above, this research proposes a knowledge base development methodology as the foundation, and also probes into the suitable management clauses of relevant international information standards about the technological service management of information and administrative system of information safety, such that an integral knowledge base was developed to meet managing management and safe demands.
