Description
Summary:碩士 === 輔仁大學 === 國際創業與經營管理學程碩士在職專班 === 96 === The main purpose of this study is to analyse the performance of direct foreign investment (DFI) for Taiwanese optical disc industry in China. In addition, this study analyzed the optical industry and performed a specific case study to shed some light on this issue. The finding of this study is to explain Taiwanese optical disc industry’s direct foreign investment performance in China through location, ownership structure and entry time. The results are as follows: 1. From location’s point of view, the study found that firms in South China along the coast and Southwest China have better ROI than those in East China along the coast. Therefore, firms in East China along the coast did not have the best operation performance. 2. With regard to results with ownership structure, the study found that firms with majority joint venture and minority joint venture both have better ROI than firms with wholly owned subsidiary. Hence, firms with wholly owned subsidiary did not have the best operation performance. 3. As for entry time, firms which entered earlier have better ROI than those which entered later.
