| Summary: | 碩士 === 佛光大學 === 生命學研究所 === 96 === This thesis aims to investigate some female volunteers for family education. The survey includes the volunteers’ experiences in original families, the effect of these experiences on their commitment to work, and the influence of their participating in volunteer work on current families. The subjects of this study are five councilors of female volunteers for family education. These councilors are within a project named “Constructing a Counseling Network for Families Most Extremely in Need of Care” which is experimentally held by family education centers of 11 counties or cities. The method adopted is a quality research method, which collects data through “semi-structural in-depth interview” and which analyzes data in reference to processes of phenomenon-orientated analyses. Concluding the results of data analyses, this study has shown that:
(1) In respect of their experiences in original families, the female volunteers’ experiences in original families include: (a) their parents’ attitude toward disciplining, including thoughtfulness for others, teaching on occasions, authorities, weakness, strict or open attitudes; (b) their interaction as parents with their children, normal or close relationships; (c) the relationship among the siblings, which shows a healthy interaction; and (d) their social values, which are positive and optimistic.
(2) In respect of their commitment to work, the influences of experiences within original families include: (a) their attitudes toward work, which contain respect for children, positive thinking, a sense of commitment and achievement; and (b) the methods they utilize in their work, including skills in communication, experience sharing, and flexibility.
(3) In respect of the effects of their experiences in original families on current families, the effects include: (a) the interaction within their family, which shows more consideration for spouses, enhancement of intimacy, and support of mutual experiences; (b) their relationship with their own children, which shows a progress in interaction; (c) their social values, which show more cherishment of resources and better care for oneself; and (d) their career as a full-time volunteer, in which they take volunteer work as their life careers.
In the end of the thesis, some concrete suggestions are provided in accordance with the results of the study.
