碩士 === 逢甲大學 === 經營管理碩士在職專班 === 96 === Recently, outsourcing is the trend in software-information systems development to obtain the advantage of cost reduction. More and more private enterprises and governmental departments have been gradually performed outsourcing for their information system development. After the system has been fully developed by the agent, it is then transferred to original organization. The information department of that enterprise is responsible to the works of software maintenance. As the user requirements or the environments of operation are changed, the information department has to update software in order to enhance the performance of that system and to extend its life. According to literature review, the main problem of software maintenance in Taiwan is the lack of standard maintenance procedures to improve the quality of the technical documentation and the accuracy of user requirements. In this research, a framework for software maintenance, based on IDEAL model, is developed to conform to rules of Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI). An empirical study is also used to discuss the implementation of the proposed framework. The results of this study show that the quality of the technical documentation, the accuracy of user requirements and the schedule of software maintenance are improved.
