Description
Summary:碩士 === 逢甲大學 === 公共政策所 === 96 === The importance of non-governmental organizations (NGOs) has been increased accompanying with the globalization. The better improvement in quality and quantity of social services they provide the better solvability for the lack and failure of governmental services. This research makes a survey with questionnaires by sampling 780 members randomly and in-depth interviews of 5 senior members purposively from 26 Rotary Clubs in Taichung city. Based on analyzing the dimensions of ‘endogenous factors’, ‘exogenous factors’ and ‘outcomes’ of social services provided by Rotary Clubs, I discuss the difficulties and challenges the NGOs may encounter and explore the resolution and improvement for them. Some suggestions for Rotary Club regarding this research: 1. Diversification of recruitment. 2. Innovation of social services. 3. Promote the knowledge management. 4. Strengthen the resource integration. 5. Reinforce the interaction with government. Suggestions for government: 1. Fulfill the related regulations for NGOs and activate the assistance of social services. 2. Set up a professional section to elaborate the integration of resources. 3. Assistance of NGOs for the participation of international affairs and broaden the international visibility. 4. Reinforce the human resources to participate and improve the development of NGOs.
