Recent studies has studied in expatriates’ family. (Andreason, 2003, Bauer and Taylor, 2001, Birdseye and Hill, 1997, Black, Gregersen, Mendenhall, and Stroh, 1999, Harvey, 1997, Mileski, 1998, Milkovich and Bloom, 1998). According to previous studies , expatriates’ performance affected by expatiates’ family and / or result in uncompleted duty and return to home-country . The present thesis reveals the personality characteristics of expatriates’ spouse affect themselves when they live in host-counties (Manland China), therefore, the family characteristics is the most important factor that would affect them. Consequently, it’s very important when management of a firm to select expatriate , they are suggested also consider to take care of expatriates’ family members.
