Summary: | 碩士 === 致遠管理學院 === 教育研究所 === 96 === The aim of the thesis is to examine how the senior high schools in Taiwan area, participating in the SOF designed by Microsoft, implement the PBL. The researcher focuses on the effects of the self-assessment and the relevant opinions of the teachers and the students implementing the PBL. Based on the results of the research on the SOF, the researcher proposes specific suggestions on the PBL to Microsoft in Taiwan. Hopefully, the education administrators and the senior high schools implementing the PBL would use them for future reference.
The researcher gathers the relevant data through questionnaires. The subjects include 30 teachers ( 26 valid questionnaires returned) and 500 students (422 valid questionnaires returned) in the senior high schools in Taiwan participating in the SOF designed by Microsoft. The data gathered is analyzed by t-test, one way ANOVA, chi-square test, and χ2 test. Through the analysis, the major findings are as follows:
1.The PBL has good effects; the teachers and the students have similar views on the general effects of the PBL.
2.The second-year students are better than the first-year students in terms of “innovative thinking and the ability of solving problems” and “gathering information and the ability of presentation”; the first one-third of the high achievers are better than the last one-third in terms of “the ability of organization and planning.”
3.The teachers and the students have similar views on the key features of their school as a member of the SOF.
4.The teachers and the students have similar views on the ability enhanced by the PBL and the course designed for the potential students.
5.The teachers and the students have similar views on the learning way the students prefer; however, they have different views on the beneficial learning way.
