In gas chromatography the DB-WAX column ( 30m×0.25mm×0.25μm) was used to effectively separate those cooling ingredients and their resolution values were all greater than 2. The injection temperature and detection temperature both are 170℃. In the analytical method validation of water-based medical patch, the results of relative standard deviation are between 0.35% and 1.61%; the results of recovery are between 93.57% and 98.90%; the results of linear regression coefficient are between 0.9987 and 0.9991; the results of limit of detection are between 18.7ng and 50.0ng; the results of limit of quantification are between 56.1ng and 150.0ng. In the water-based medical patch, the main ingredients are 3-l-Menthoxypropane-1,2-diol, Eucalyptol, Methyl salicylate and Menthol. The products of medical patch were put at 25℃ and 40℃ conditions, respectively, for six months. The appearance of the product did not significantly change but 3-l-Menthoxypropane-1,2-diol decreased to 91.38% and 90.64% respectively; Methyl salicylate decreased to 92.28% and 91.88% respectively; Eucalyptol decreased to 93.38% and 92.54% respectively; Menthol decreased to 95.11% and 93.94% respectively.
